We wish to thank both our Men and Lady Cougars for completing another exciting hoop season. While the men played competitively all year, they came up short of making the playoffs. Next year guys! Thanks for all the court thrills! A very hearty congratulations goes to our Lady Cougars, fresh off a 13-5 season. On February 16th, they played a gallant game against Mahanoy Area in the Class A quarterfinals. Freshman Laura Flannery scored 15 points to lead the team that day. While the Lady Cougars did not prevail in victory, they presented a wonderful spirit that glorified both the Lord and LVCHS.

A big “well done” also goes out again to both Coach Dean Smith and Coach Dale Sommons for again committing their time to coach. Thank you gentlemen for the many hours of instruction and encouraging words that you shared this year.

Since inclement weather did cancel our Senior Day game, as well as our year end pep rally before Districts play, we did roll out the red carpet to honor both the girls and boys squads in Chapel on February 20th. Cheerleader Coach Linda Smith had the cheerleader squad lead us in celebrating both teams. Afterwards, we also honored our Seniors from both teams. Congrats to all!
